Paragon Software Group, a leader in data protection and embedded cross-platform file-access technology, today announced its NTFS, HFS+ and FAT32 for Linux solutions have been selected by D-Link to enhance connectivity across the global technology and networking leader’s router and NAS product lines. D-Link will license Paragon’s Universal File System Driver (UFSD) technology, building upon their existing OEM agreement.

Effective immediately, Paragon’s UFSD offerings will support D-Link’s new AC3150 (DIR-885L/R) and AC5300 (DIR-895L/R) Ultra Wi-Fi routers. In addition, Paragon solutions will be provided to customers as a firmware update for existing product lines, including the AC3200 Ultra Wi-Fi Router (DIR-890L/R).

“D-Link is globally recognized for its world-class routers, which offer the powerful features that today’s discerning customers require for demanding applications such as high-definition streaming and gaming,” said Steve Olen, Director of Product Marketing, D-Link. “Making our products accessible throughout the network to any device, regardless of the operating system, is essential, and that’s why we’re excited to work with Paragon, the market leader in interoperability.”

Paragon’s cross-platform file access technology enables storage devices, network appliances, smartphones, tablets, set top boxes, multimedia players, routers, NAS and other hardware to communicate with storage media regardless of the chip set platform or operating system. As a result, consumers can stream multimedia content to network and entertainment devices or external storage for playback at a later time, on a device of their choosing.

“D-Link is one of the best-known names in the networking and mobility markets, and Paragon is pleased to continue our relationship with them, collaborating on this latest line of products,” Tom Fedro, President, Paragon Software Group Corp. “Working together with D-Link, we’re delivering solutions that raise the stakes for performance, reliability and device interoperability.”

Paragon’s UFSD technology provides rapid, transparent and full read/ write access to non-native file systems under Linux, Android, iOS, QNX and other platforms. Featuring a full portfolio of UFSD solutions, Paragon is focused on delivering powerful utilities that fully protect stored data while delivering high performance with no limits on file or volume size.
